Striking ABC staff will be forced to work a full day of unpaid overtime tomorrow in order to uphold the public broadcaster’s strict commitment to “balance.”
Thousands of ABC staff walked off the job today across their TV, radio and online departments to protest their latest pay offer and lack of job security.
However, ABC management has confirmed that, in the interest of balance, staff will return to work tomorrow to produce a special Four Corners program on the economic benefits of slave labor.
“It’s important to not be perceived to having a pro-workers being treated fairly bias. Luckily, we know many of our employees will be able to handle this as they have plenty of experience with unpaid overtime.”
Meanwhile The Chaser team have confirmed they will not succumb to the pressure of ending their now decade long strike against the ABC, unless of course they accidentally offer them a show again.
