NRA defends gun’s innocence in Trump shooting, calls for ban on elections

The NRA have put out an official response to the shooting at a Trump rally in which they called for a ban on elections.

The pro-gun lobby group told reporters that they are deeply concerned for the safety of guns and hopes that people understand that the gun involved in the shooting is “completely innocent”.

“This is what happens when you let people have elections,” said a Republican donor, “when there was no election, no election candidates where shot at. Now there has been a shooting, it’s clear what the cause is.”

“Politics is a consistent factor in political shootings. From Lincoln, to Roosevelt, JFK and God’s hero Donald J. Trump; all these men would have been safer if the public didn’t have unrestricted access to the political system.”

“We hope that future President Trump takes the necessary steps to keep America safe and bans elections entirely… and schools.”
