The team behind the hit new season ‘2025’ has opened the highly anticipated series with what’s known by nerds as “foreshadowing”.
In a premiere critics called “a little on the nose”, fans were treated to apocalyptic scenes of wildfires raging across Los Angeles.
Viewers were also given sneak peaks of the show’s main antagonist as he threatened to buy Greenland, despite the fact he’s not President for another week.
These bold artistic choices have set the scene for the horrors fans can expect to come in 2025, which many viewers are predicting could be the end of the series.
“Any attempt at subtlety was clearly abandoned. It’s obviously going to end with disaster now,” said one burned fan.
Though the show has been airing for many years now, viewership dropped significantly in previous seasons, which could explain the desperate attempts from writers to draw attention with high-budget action sequences.
“At the end of the day, if the quality is going downhill then you need to just know when to let it die,” another disgruntled fan said.
“Like seriously? Bringing Trump back for a second term? More fires and a virus brewing in China? Think of something new.”
Whether or not the ending is brought about by political turmoil, natural disaster, or alien invasion is still being kept hushed amongst the production team, who also wrote the ending for Game Of Thrones.
Margaret Pomeranz gave 2025’s premiere a total of four stars, citing that it lost points for not killing off any major characters.
