Liberals bring back Abbott in bid to make Angus Taylor look better by comparison

Former serious political party, the Liberals has appointed ex-PM Tony Abbott as their new federal president, after a long search to finally find someone who can stand next to Angus Taylor and make him look somewhat impressive in comparison. 

Despite polls suggesting a potential upcoming wipe-out, the Liberals believe they can turn their popularity crisis around by bringing back one of the least popular Prime Ministers in history.

“It’s just a great morale boost for Angus,” one Liberal insider revealed. “It gives him hope that you can win an election in this country, even if you’re not popular, smart or competent.”

“Voters can look at those two side by side and remember that at this current moment, Angus hasn’t eaten a raw onion or lost his seat. So there is potential there.”

Fellow ex-PM Malcolm Turnbull has congratulated Abbott on his imminent appointment and says he looks forward to knifing him in about a year or so.
