Dutton claims Trump comparisons are “fake news”

Opposition leader Peter Dutton has rejected comparisons to US President Donald Trump as “fake news.”

Dutton, suspiciously covered in thick orange makeup and a new blonde wig, argued claims that he is copying the US President are “bigly ridiculous”.

“Sure we both only focus on meaningless culture war issues, have ill-thought out policies and have a slightly evil undercurrent but I want to make it clear that I am nothing like Trump.”

“I want to absolutely distance myself from some his more appalling characteristics like popularity and charisma, they have no place in Australian politics.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has politely dismissed comparisons to former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke, despite no one ever making them.
