Australia’s 4th favourite streaming service has issued an alert saying millions of users may have accidentally unsubscribed to the sports package mere hours after the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
“We’re gathering more information but we encourage all users to sign up for the sports package regardless of if you want it or not,”said a spokesperson for Stan, “we’re confident this plummeting level of subscriptions is likely due to a recent update by a third party and nothing to do with being more expensive than Netflix”.
Crowdstrike has already issued three statements in quick succession: At first stating they had no knowledge of Stan as a company, then clarifying they weren’t aware they were working with Stan and finally an apology to all Stan users.
Binge has also released a statement blaming Crowdstrike for the amount of ads during “House of the Dragon”.
