Boeing announces New Year’s resolution to stop using Clag Paste in airplane construction

Aviation giant Boeing told shareholders in a New Year’s address that it will discontinue using Bostik’s Clag Paste in the construction of the aircraft.

The manufacturer, which has faced allegations of poor quality and manufacturing standards, said the craft adhesive was identified as a potential weakness in the construction of the 737 MAX.

“Look, there’s a lot more glue and duct tape used in the construction of airliners than people realise,” said an executive, “however, maybe we should have drawn the line at attaching engines and doors with a children’s craft product.”

It is unknown when Clag Paste, best known for creating layers of artificial skin to peel off, first began to be used in the Boeing construction process.

The discontinuation of the use of the paper glue is believed to be the first in a long line of much-needed reforms for the company after failing to meet its key KPI of not having planes fall out of the sky.

It is understood the Whistle-blower who first revealed Boeing’s use of the children’s adhesive tragically passed away last month in a snowmobile accident in the Sahara desert.
