Official airline of the Yes campaign, Qantas has put out a statement apologising to Australia after losing the voice referendum in transit.
“Typical,” said one disgruntled Yes voter, “we should kept the voice in carry on. I knew Yes should have just chosen a different airline.”
“This is an embarrassing mistake on our end,” said the customer service rep for the millionth time today, “we understand that we already predicted delays in the final result of the referendum but now we have arrived but sadly the voice did not make it along the journey with us. We are willing to offer you a coupon to try make up for this error.”
Fellow Yes campaign partner Rio Tinto has announced their plans to boost the spirits of Yes voters with a traditional display of blowing up an Indigenous landmark, saying “it always cheers us and the government up, don’t see why it wouldn’t work here.”
