Nation’s cardiologists thankful prelims are over

Cardiologists have let out a massive exhale as the final siren goes off during the Brisbane vs Hawthorn AFL Men’s prelim final, and not just because of the stress their bodies went through watching that match.

“If the final quarter of either match went for just one minute longer, we would have seen heart attacks around the country,” said one doctor while checking her own pulse to double check that she is ok.

“Even those who don’t go for any of the teams were at a magic risk with how those games played out.”

Preparations for the Grand Final will now begin both for the teams and the doctors.

“I mean not only are we seeing these teams again, but we are starting with a Kylie performance. We are going to be on high alert.”
