AFLM sets lofty goal to try go a full month without any homophobia from the players

The AFL have announced a new long-term goal to try last an entire month without any of the mens players saying any homophobic slurs.

“This will be a major shake up for the league,” said a spokesperson, “it will likely be years from now, but we hope to one day pull it off.”

“We hope our fans know we are taking this seriously. These are all regrettable one-off incidents, that happen regularly, and in no way reflect our culture internally whatsoever.”

The AFL have proposed introducing moments of silence to every men’s game, to pay respect and also reduce the amount of time the players have to slay slurs.
