The Democratic National Convention has left viewers shocked after the much rumoured ‘surprise speaker’ was revealed to be former Australian Prime Minister and hide-and-seek world champion Harold Holt.
Democrats said they wanted to bring in a powerhouse to show American’s the power of ‘girt’, after the Australian swimming legend has personally been ‘girt by sea’ for decades.
“No one could have seen this coming,” said one political analysis, “to get Holt out and talking about politics again. No one thought it would be possible.”
Polling done immediately after his appearance showed a sharp increase in support amongst voters in Atlantis.
