Woman who doesn’t know how to search for old text messages headhunted by telecommunications company

Former New South Wales Premier and tech-head Gladys Berejiklian has been appointed to an executive role at telecommunications company Optus, despite not being great at producing phone records.
Her appointment comes only days after she couldn’t confirm whether she called Prime Minister Scott Morrison a “horrible, horrible person” in a text exchange due to having “no recollection” of the messages, seemingly unaware of the rather uniform search bar feature of messaging apps.
It is believed that Optus targeted Ms Berejiklian due to her extensive experience listening to phone calls, mainly those that were played back to her during ICAC hearings.
Ms Berejiklian’s job application listed her ability to recall her own text messages or details of phone conversations that may expose her own alleged misconduct as a “room for improvement.”
