Taylor accuses consent education of pushing of an ‘anti-rape’ agenda 

Current Coalition leader Angus Taylor has faced criticism after trying to dodge the easiest question a politician has ever been asked: whether young people should learn about consent.

After ABC hosts refused to let him dodge the question, the man who wants to be prime minister conceded that consent is important before somehow feeling the need to add a ‘but’.

He went on to accuse the teachers and curriculum for the subject of “pushing an agenda”, which is technically true if you consider ‘wanting people to have safe consensual sex’ and the ability to know when something is inappropriate as ‘an agenda’.

His comments were following Matt Canavan’s statement that the curriculum is ‘anti-boy’, accusing teacher of trying ‘feminise’ boys into things like ‘respecting everyone’ and ‘seeing women as human beings’.

Weirdly the assertions that teaching consent and respect is ‘anti-boy’ has managed to go without fury from the always angry ‘not all men’ crowd.
