Frantic scenes in Canberra today as the Federal Liberal party loses 6 former cabinet ministers at the exact same time.
This wave of resignations came out of no-where with the former prime minister, health minister, finance minister, science/resources minister, home affairs minister and treasurer all announcing they are leaving politics next month.
Federal Opposition leader Peter Dutton denied that this is a sign of the party being in collapse, “We were blindsided by this announcement as we weren’t expecting any company to want to hire this guy, but we are confident that we can find a replacement for his crucial role from the last two years of just sitting on the backbench playing Angry Birds on his phone.”
In related news, the once booming empathy consultant industry in Canberra has seemingly collapsed out of nowhere.
