The high-profile divorce of Ley’s Liberal Party and Littleproud’s Nationals party has been stalled as the pair have agreed to give couples counselling a go.
In a joint statement from the pair, they have decided to hold off on their split after realising that maybe they can talk out their differences instead of dooming both parties to obscurity.
“We know many people have been confused about what’s going on with us, but we’ve decided to see if there is a way we can make this work after all.”
“We are going through a hard time and we both feel like the other isn’t listening to us or compromising. Ultimately we just felt like our needs, and the needs of our donors weren’t being met.”
“So before we split up for good, we thought it would be good to talk to a professional as we both have promised things will be different this time.”
“Plus we know that the divorce has been tough on kids. Both the ones we know of and the ones Barnaby probably has but doesn’t know about.”
In a major step, the Nationals Party have made another change to their relationship status on social media. First they were ‘Married’, then ‘Single’ but now they set it to “It’s Complicated”.
