Commonwealth Games award Dan Andrews gold medal in gymnastics for stunning backflip

Victorian Premier and amateur gymnast Dan Andrews has been awarded an honorary gold medal by the Commonwealth Games for performing the most stunning backflip in the games’ history.

“It would just be completely irresponsible to spend so much money on a 12-day sporting event,” said the guy who bid to host a 12-day sporting event.

Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Games Federation are still in shock that the state that cancelled pretty much every major event at short notice for two years has decided to cancel a major event at short notice.

Andrews also wanted to stress that while the Games will not go ahead, the government will still proceed with building Commonwealth Games standard sporting infrastructure in regional Victoria.

“Upgrading our sporting facilities is a very necessary step towards achieving our dream of regional Victoria one day hosting a major sporting event in the future… like the Commonwealth Games!”
