Wine O’Clock brought forward by one hour as daylight saving ends

Wine O’Clock begins one hour earlier than usual, starting from today, after daylight saving ended in most states across Australia. For the parents of small children coping with lockdown, it will be brought forward by two hours.

A spokesperson for the Fire Brigade said that the end of daylight saving also served as a good reminder to check the batteries in your vibrators. “Regularly replacing your batteries ensures it’s in working order for when you need it most.”

In Queensland, which does not have Wine O’Clock, Beer O’Clock will be brought forward by one hour.

The new timings will remain in place until early October, when Wine O’Clock will be brought forward again.
