US influencer Sam Jones has been announced as the newest cast member of Channel 7’s SAS Australia. The fearless American shot to fame when she bravely wrestled a helpless baby wombat away from its mum, a feat nobody has dared to attempt in the past.
“I’ve stolen a baby wombat, and my next mission is to steal Australia’s hearts,” Ms Jones told media.
“I’ve heard that SAS Australia attracts the highest calibre of celebrities, and it’s my aim to become as successful as Cocaine Cassie.”
Executive producer Luke Smith says he knew Ms Jones would be perfect for SAS Australia as soon as he saw her viral video.
“She embodies everything our show stands for, and if you can withstand the fury of a helpless baby animal, you’ll easily be able to tackle any SAS Australia challenge,” he said.
“Seven believes Sam ‘Wombat’ Jones could become the next Abbie Chatfield, and we’re willing to invest in this fresh new talent.”
It’s understood that Ms Jones’ contract includes a $500,000 fee and a lifetime pass to Australia Zoo.
