The election has officially been called with the Sausage Sanga soaring to victory ahead of the major parties as the clear favourite amongst voters.
Heading into the election, polls suggested that the staple food would need to form a minority government with backing from other candidates like the soft-drinks and the so-called ‘baked-goods independents’, however the sanga proved the pollsters completely wrong and swept the election for yet another election miracle.
“You can always trust a sausage sanga to do well at the booths” said a political historian, “on election day voters tend to look at the sausage sanga as a secure choice. While the coalition and Labor can sometimes leave a lot to be desired, many Aussies find the democracy sausage the only fully satisfying choice come election time.”
