The first election debate for 2025 has wrapped up giving voters a rare chance to see the two most boring men in the country squabble for an hour, outside of Question Time.
The debate took place on Sky News, in a bid for both major parties to confirm their commitment to the leader of Australia, Rupert Murdoch.
With issues including the environment, international diplomacy and the economy; both leaders sleep walked their way to giving non-answers.
Both leaders consistently accused the other of being ‘factually inaccurate’, leaving the host to wonder if there was something he could have bothered doing that would bring facts into it.
Every topic went as follows:
Leader 1 says they will make *issue* better but other leader will make issue worse, cites previous record.
Leader 2 rebuts saying they will make *issue* better but other leader will make issue worse, cites previous record.
Neither saying anything new or interesting, both with the charisma of a LinkedIn post from someone who is confused why every email they receive starts with ‘as per my last email’.
For entertainment value it really could have used a Bob Katter type figure to shake things up.
Ultimately, the real loser of the debate was whoever wasted their time watching it.
