Scientists discover disturbing trend of Aussie politicians taking up djing during mid-life crisis

Scientists have expressed concern after a trend of high profile politicians giving djing a go during their mid-life crisis in a desperate bid to look cool in front young voters.

The trend originated with DJ Albo before spreading to DJ Adam Bandt, leaving researchers mortified that it will soon spread further to DJ Dutton and DJ Pauline.

“We can understand where this comes from,” said one expert, “DJs tend to be weird people who are desperate to be liked and cling on to the power they feel from being on stage controlling the music. The crossover with politicians is right there.”

“We theorise that DJ decks and their notorious proximity to ‘spin’ makes those who work in Parliament House feel at home. Not to mention all the drunken cocaine usage.”

In related news, a local Gen Z writer has demanded hazard pay after needing to watch segments of both daggy dads djing in order to make the thumbnail for this piece.
