RBA tells working class people to stop wasting money on ‘luxuries’ like food, shelter and transport

The Reserve Bank of Australia has increased interest rates in a bid to get everyday Aussies to cut down on unnecessary spending which is a contributing factor to inflation (alongside price gouging and oil prices but we don’t need to worry about those).
“We all need to be ready to make sacrifices,” said the RBA boss, “That’s what I told the help while they were cleaning my mansion.”
“But looking around at the everyday costs of the workers, they are clearly paying for the most luxurious store brand breads and paying for what I can only assume is the fanciest petrol money can buy. It’s clear that some things need to be cut for the sake of the profit margins of the big banks.”
Meanwhile the federal government have said they too will be cutting down on ‘unnecessary costs’ and instead focus on what we really need like funds for new wars and giving subsidies to the fossil fuel companies who ship all their product and profits overseas.
