Politics nerd spends entire day pretending to work

Aussie politics nerd Rachel Beckman has arrived at work prepared to spend the entire day hard at pretending to work while watching the US election.

Beckman, who has already shared 12 Canva slides to her Instagram story despite her following being almost exclusively Australians, has set her work computer up to be ready to watch the polls slowly trickle in while being able to switch screens to her actual job at a moment’s notice.

“This may as well be a public holiday,” said sent to a group chat of other politics nerds, “even if I wasn’t checking the polls, I spent so long last night trying to figure out how the fuck their election system works that there is no way I can get work done today.”

Onlooking co-workers have grown concerned for Beckman, saying it is the most stressed she has been at work for about four years.
