Local doctor tells female patient that it’s not International Women’s Day, suggests Panadol

Local Doctor Richard Headison has told one of his patients that despite how she is feeling, it is not International Women’s Day.

Headison acknowledged that the patient felt like today is IWD, and that his charts show that today’s date is March 8th, but denied that meant it actually is IWD.

“I get what you’re saying,” he said after ignoring everything she has told him, “but from where I’m sitting, there doesn’t seem to be anything unusual about today.”

“Have you tried taking Panadol? I think Panadol will probably help whatever you seem to be feeling about today.”

The patient did end up buying Panadol on the way home in order to counteract a headache she started feeling the more the doctor talked.

Dr Headison has taken her buying Panadol as proof that he was right to not investigate any further into today’s date.
