Australian mentally prepares for inevitable point where Dutton also starts saying that immigrants are coming to eat our pets

As the is dumbfounded by Donald Trump claiming that immigrants are going to America to eat their pets, many in Australia began to mentally prepare for when Opposition Leader Peter Dutton starts copying that talking point.
“This debate has filled me with so much dread for the future,” sighed Alex from Sydney, “not for America, just knowing that we will hear it in Australian politics in 6-12 months.”
“I mean the pets claim has all the hallmarks of a talking point that Dutton would take from Trump. It’s racist, it’s fear mongering, and it’s absolutely batshit.”
