Aussie who doesn’t know if he has a mayor, surprisingly invested in New York mayoral race

Local punter Jarrod Davies has today shared 10 different posts about the New York Mayoral race to their instagram story, for his exclusively non-New Yorker followers to see.

“It’s super important to be engaged with this stuff,” he said despite not knowing his own mayor’s name, or even if he has one.

“I’ve been checking the polls and Mamdani still has a solid lead over Cuomo and umm… the funny republican guy.”

“I watched both the debates and it was so interesting watching how mad Cuomo got whenever Mamdani worked in his clearly rehearsed ways to bring up the sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo. He really should have just taken ‘no’ for an answer for the first time in his life after the democratic primaries.”

“Not to mention how funny it was whenever the republican guy spoke, he was incoherent but it was a nice comedic relief from all the yelling.”

“Although it is uniquely American with how racist the campaign has gotten, I don’t pay much attention to our campaigns but I bet our politicians would never stoop that low.”
