Albo takes half an hour ordering coffee after telling barista the single mum story 

A major hold up at a Sydney coffee shop as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese broke the world record for the longest time taken to order coffee.

Disgruntled people in the queue have told reporters the delay started when Albanese launched into telling his classic ‘single mum in low income housing’ story, despite the barista stressing that he has heard it at least 20 times by now.

The delay was then furthered when Albanese got to the end of his story and realised he forgot to ask a focus group what to drink and needed to await their results before moving forward.

By the time Albanese managed to put in his order, multiple other customers had fallen asleep due to a mixture of lack of coffee and hearing Anthony Albanese talk for an extended period of time.
