Striking teachers tell Victorian Government, “it’s your own time you’re wasting”

The Australian Education Union have responded to the Victorian Government’s demands to just ‘get back to work’ by reminding the government that it’s the government’s own time they’re wasting.

This comes as 30,000 teachers have taken to the streets to demanding better working conditions and a pay increase for their job that is incredibly important but most people would have nightmares about doing.

“I am happy to stand here Jacinta and wait until you do the right thing,” said one teacher, “I want to be teaching my class but can’t while you’re acting like this. It’s your own time you’re wasting.”

Reports suggest the teachers are ready to ramp up negotiations by counting down to three before sending a message to Jacinta Allan’s parents.
