New Yorker weirdly not in the mood for R U OK? cupcake

New Yorker Josie Smith was reportedly not thrilled when her Sydney based manager sent an email letting her know that that they got everyone a cupcake to have for morning tea with “R U OK?” written on them today.

“Seriously you are going to give me that cupcake today of all days?” she said seemingly not referring to the national holiday where bosses pretend to care about mental health for PR purposes.

“Why stop there, why not make two large cakes that we can knock down while we’re at it?”

In response, the manager clearly seeing the destress her employee was going through, sent her a copy-pasted email expressing concern and offering options for help before sending another email asking Josie to work late tomorrow night.
