The Chaser Weakly
It is time to save democracy!

This newsletter is brought to you by the census. Australia’s biggest poll, unless that is potentially divisive, in which case we just wont do it.
Dear Chaser readers,
As we all know, the single best way to evaluate the wide range of public opinions, is of course reader polls.
Everyone from The Daily Aus to the Daily Mail, News Corp and the ABC; they all love posting reader polls as frequently as humanly possible.
While some may claim that reader polls are nothing more than a cheap tactic to artificially boost engagement, here at The Chaser we know that they are actually the most scientifically sound venture for finding the truth without any potential bias!
That is why we have decided to not only conduct our own poll, but are doing so in one of the only ways that does not boost our engagement. A way that is also, coincidentally, way easier to set up.
After months of research we realised that we have the opportunity to conduct a much larger poll than the ‘real pollsters’ like YouGov, which was a conclusion our panel of experts came to after comparing our audience size to the sample sizes of polls and figuring out which number was bigger.
So our goal, in this valiant and some may even say ‘heroic’ venture, is to have more respondents than any other reader poll or actual poll. Because, as we all know, the bigger the poll, the more accurate it is. That’s maths.
The poll will only take the minute or so that you normally spend reading this newsletter so please give it an honest go. If enough people do this, we think we can save democracy!
Yours,
John Delmenico
