Emergency services called to rescue woman trapped under sleeping cat

In a shocking turn of events, emergency services were called to a suburban home late Monday, to rescue a woman who had become trapped under a sleeping cat.

According to eyewitnesses, the unsuspecting woman had been binge watching the latest Prince Harry documentary when she heard a strange “purring” sound. Looking down she discovered, to her horror, that Mr Cottonsocks had fallen asleep without her noticing, trapping her before she could flee to the kitchen for snacks.

As she tried to extricate herself from the situation, the cat, who was reportedly in a deep sleep, rolled over onto its side, leaving the woman completely unable to move her arms.

Panicked and needing the bathroom, the woman was fortunately able to instruct Siri to call for help, and a team of firefighters and paramedics were soon on the scene.

After a tense and delicate operation, the rescuers were able to free the woman without waking the cat, with all involved emerging from the ordeal shaken but thankfully unharmed.

“It was a tricky operation,” explained one fire fighter. “One wrong move and we could have woken up that cute widdle nappyhead and made him sad. Thank God it never came to that.”

As for the cat, it was carefully relocated a nearby armchair, oblivious to how close it came to seeing its beauty sleep disturbed.

In a statement, the woman thanked the emergency services for their quick response and assured reporters that she would be more careful in the future to leave at least one door open, so as to trap the cat in a loop of going in and out until the documentary is finished.
